JOB SUMMARY:

My client is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager with mobile and/or web development experience to be based in East London.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications and experience:

Diploma or Degree in Software Development or Management Information Systems
5 Years’ experience as a Development Manager
Experience in development life cycles, software, management, and software development

Responsibilities:

Staff issues
System instability or failure
Data corruption
Software deployment
Large scale deployments and technology decisions.

Finance:

Oversee resource allocation and budgeting to achieve financial targets.
Strategic input how to achieve Company targets

Marketing:

Representing the enterprise or organization at conventions, seminars, and conferences
Assist Business Development regarding development costing for tenders/proposals etc.

Processes:

Planning, directing and coordinating research and development activities, in-house or commissioned from external research organizations, to develop new or improved technical processes, products, knowledge, or utilisation of materials
Provide leadership in technical process planning and guidance.
Prepare and manage development project, release and implementation plans (activities, resourcing, dependencies, scheduling)
Weekly and monthly analysis reports
Departmental Human Resources

Learning and Growth:

Ensure WSP is approved, submitted and actioned

Planning:
Short Term (Daily, weekly, Monthly):

Plan daily tasks as per the requirements of the Job Description.

Med Term – (3 – 24 months):

Implement and manage controls and staff allocated

Long Term - (2 years):

Improve development life cycle and software being used to develop products
