SUMMARY:
Are you a skilled Software Tester with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing? Join a dynamic team where your expertise will directly impact the efficiency of international trading operations.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a forward-thinking technology solutions provider, delivering fully integrated systems that streamline global import and export operations. They are seeking a Software Tester with at least 3–4 years of experience in functional, manual, and automation testing to join their Cape Town (Century City) office.

This is a chance to work on innovative, end-to-end software solutions in a collaborative and professional environment. You will gain exposure to high-impact projects in logistics, retail, and supply chain systems while enhancing your testing and QA expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute functional, manual, and automated testing across multiple software applications.
Collaborate with development and business teams to define test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
Track, document, and report on software defects and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
Ensure adherence to QA best practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the software lifecycle.
Maintain and improve testing tools, processes, and procedures, including Selenium, Jira, and TestRail.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (BSc or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3–4 years’ experience in software testing (manual, automation, and functional).
- Experience in logistics, retail, or supply chain systems is highly advantageous.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
Skills:
- Solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies.
- Practical experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Jira, and TestRail.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Personal Attributes:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, structured approach.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take ownership of tasks.
- Commitment to upholding high quality standards and following strict testing procedures.
- Willingness to proactively contribute to the improvement of QA processes and tools.
