Our leading Renewable ECP client in Cape Town is looking for a Senior Electrical Construction Manager with at least 8 years plus experience in utility size PV farms.
Requirements
Wireman’s licence, N6, relevant degree in electrical
engineering or renewable energy
Minimum of 8 years’ experience on Solar PV plants in South Africa
Code 8 drivers license
Experience on eskom self-built substations will be an added advantage
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
Fully skilled in MS Suit especially MS Projects
Be able to lead a team of more than 100 staff members
Responsibilities
Daily Progress reports to Projects manager and to the IPP representative
Management of the electrical team as well as the electrical quality controllers
Management of the HSE department (Officer)
Managing the construction work from the start of the project to final handover
Site inspections, BOQ, Quantity control
Site Meetings,
Procurement, site requisitions and departmental fleet control
General site management and training
