SUMMARY:
The purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate the development of the architectural design of
solutions to support the business goals and to ensure alignment of business and information
technology (IT) at a solution level with our client. The specialist
solution architect is also responsible for the management of the application architecture evolution.
The position reports to a Senior Manager: Strategy and Enterprise Architect.

POSITION INFO:
Leads the development of solution architectures in
specific business, infrastructure or functional
areas.
ï§ Leads the preparation of technical plans and
ensures that appropriate technical resources are
made available.
ï§ Ensures that appropriate tools and methods are
available, understood and employed in
architecture development.
ï§ Provides technical guidance and governance on
solution development and integration.
ï§ Evaluates requests for changes and deviations
from specifications and recommends actions.
ï§ Ensures that relevant technical strategies,
policies, standards and practices (including
security) are applied correctly.
ï§ Defining the planned operation and maintenance
of the solution within a production environment —
ï§ Include changes to services, process,
organisation, and operating models as well as
technology
ï§ Ensuring that existing and planned solution
components are compatible with relevant
architectures, strategies, policies, standards and

practices
ï§ Considering requirements for security, privacy and
testing of solutions
ï§ Taking account of relevant architectures,
strategies, policies, standards and practices
ï§ Identifying appropriate cloud services
ï§ Developing roadmaps to migrate components to
cloud services
ï§ Developing and communicating an
implementation roadmap
ï§ Providing guidance and risk-based governance to
support solution implementation including
managing requests for changes and deviations
from specifications.
