Sourcing and Supplier Manager

SUMMARY:
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Sourcing and Supplier Manager to drive strategic procurement and supplier performance. This role plays a key part in ensuring continuity of supply, cost optimisation, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for an experienced procurement leader with strong manufacturing and team management exposure

POSITION INFO:

Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies in line with business objectives
Ensure compliance with procurement, preferential sourcing, and supply chain policies
Identify and drive cost‑saving, demand reduction, and supply consolidation initiatives
Manage purchasing processes to achieve price, quality, and delivery targets (OTIF)
Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimise commercial and delivery terms
Oversee supplier selection, qualification, performance, and risk management
Institute and manage SLA agreements and monitor supplier performance
Evaluate RFQs and tenders and manage sourcing for BOMs and new projects
Analyse spend data, manage procurement budgets, and support forecasting
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost‑saving projects
Develop and maintain procurement systems, reporting, and SOPs
Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team, including performance and succession planning

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management
Manufacturing environment experience - essential
Proven people management experience
Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
Proficiency in procurement systems - Syspro advantageous
Ability to work under pressure and deliver against cost, quality, and delivery targets

Qualification:
NQF Level 6 National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration OR Equivalent
NQF Level 7 Degree in Supply Chain Management OR Equivalent – advantageous
