A reputable hotel in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their dynamic kitchen team.

Salary: R15 000 CTC per month
Location: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town
Availability: ASAP

POSITION INFO:

Key Requirements:

Strong Hot Kitchen experience (essential)
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, stock control, and food cost management
Excellent understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in a fast-paced environment
Must have reliable transport to and from the Southern Suburbs area
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef
Ensure high-quality preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
Assist with menu planning, stock control, and ordering
Maintain kitchen hygiene, safety, and organisational standards
Train, guide, and support junior kitchen staff
Step in and manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
