Spare Parts Manager – Engineering & Industrial Services

Key Responsibilities

Spare Parts Sales

• Lead and manage spare parts sales operations and fulfilment.
• Drive customer engagement and forecast demand to meet business objectives.
• Develop pricing models, framework agreements, and budgets.
• Monitor KPIs and implement service improvements where needed.
• Stay up to date with competitor offerings and market trends.

Procurement & Supply Chain

• Manage and develop supplier networks to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Oversee the SAP system for accurate pricing of assemblies and components.
• Coordinate with QA/QC on outsourced manufacturing supplier approvals.
• Conduct site visits to assess potential suppliers and ensure compliance with standards.

Logistics

• Direct all international and local logistics operations.
• Ensure timely, compliant delivery of spare parts to customers and project sites.
• Maintain transport budgets, documentation, and incoterms compliance.
• Collaborate with clearing agents and coordinate deliveries to reduce handling inefficiencies.

Leadership & Operations

• Mentor and manage a team, define KPIs, and align individual goals with business targets.
• Ensure adherence to departmental procedures, reporting requirements, and BBBEE compliance.
• Support finance on supplier payment issues and reporting timelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education

• National Diploma (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• Additional qualifications in Marketing, Commerce, or Business (beneficial)

Experience

• 5+ years in spare parts sales, customer management, procurement, or business development
• Proven leadership in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Experience in supply chain or warehouse management (advantageous)
• Knowledge of SAP and industrial equipment (especially for aluminium or heavy industry)
