SUMMARY:
Specialist: Procurement

POSITION INFO:

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Sourcing & Contracts Management of Strategic Commodities, including:

Ensuring sourcing/ procurement strategies are informed and infomed through data and market analytics and business requirments.
Ensuring that all sourcing strategies are entrenched in the applicable areas of the business and successfully executed through to factroy buyer level.
Owning the sourcing, buying, delivering and inventory management of commodities
Performance managing suppliers and supply contracts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce or Engineering. Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage

KEY OUTPUTS:
Strategic commodity management including:

Procuring commodities in line with the Total Cost of Ownership methodology (including environmental, social and governance elements)
Developing commodity and supplier profiles, including understanding the commodity market, dynamics, cost drivers and potential suppliers
Research and propose alternative commodities
Manage contract changes and negotiations
Monitor and manage category purchasing compliance
Review and manage ad-hoc issues during course of supply (e.g. packaging, quality, logistics, inventory management, claims)
Savings on commodity spend
Oversight and execution of tender processes for the above commodities and assit site execution.
