Specialist Statistician / Data Specialist - (Research)
We are on the lookout for experienced Statistician / Data professionals with demonstrable skills of bridging the gap between data and business decisions and being able to effectively communicate these outcomes to clients. Additionally you will assist in conceptual development and presentation of client-unique solutions.
Our client is a leading Market Research consultancy – growing from strength to strength.
You will undertake roles and responsibilities in the following areas:
- Applying cutting edge statistical methods/methodologies.
- Keeping up to date with the latest developments in the field of data analysis and visualisation.
- Retrieving and manipulating quantitative data into an understandable format through appropriate data mining and analysis to actively influence business solutions and provide reporting when needed.
- Interrogating results to ensure that output is not only accurate and comprehensive but elevated to support business decisions
- Executing professional delivery of data reports and insights in line with the company’s processes and quality standards
- Presenting findings and solutions to internal and external stakeholders
Education, experience and proficiency level:
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics or Statistics (Honours or Masters degree preferred)
- 4+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Research sector specifically
- Must be highly skilled at developing workable solutions for implementation and automation of current processes.
- Practical Python / R experience
- SQL experience and database design
- Experience with processing of big data
- Experience with dashboard and automated reporting
- Solid Understanding of Market Research
