SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Splunk Architect and Developer.

• Managing projects/processes
• Ability to develop within a specific sought-after programming language
• Strong working knowledge with software development tools, techniques, and approaches used to build application solutions

• Cloud computing technologies, Business drivers, and emerging computing trends

• Understanding of BI Tools will be an advantage
• Understanding of integration between different technologies
• Coordination between development and support environments
• Assisting with the business case
• Planning and monitoring
• Eliciting requirements
• Requirements organization
• Translating and simplifying requirements
• Requirements management and communication
• Requirements analysis
• Document requirements in appropriate format depending on methodology followed
• Assist with identification and management of risks

Specific Technical / Functional skills

Creating the next generation observability solutions to increase productivity, operational efficiency, and threat awareness.

Skill Group: Business Intelligence Solutions Skill: Splunk

• Passionate about big data architecture, development and are thrilled about latest technologies, strategic but also hands-on.
• Design and implement big data architecture on Splunk and AWS that can handle the ingestion, processing, and analysis of data that is too large or complex for traditional database systems.
• Able to translate complex requirements into functional software.
• Sound experience in developing BI dashboards & backend applications
• Advanced knowledge of observability solutions for ingesting, monitoring, visualizing and analysing data technologies
• Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL), Splunk Data Ingest & configuration preferred
• Amazon Web Services experience required
• Automation experience in PowerShell and Python
• Ingest pipelines experience in Cribl
• Windows and Linux systems and shell commands

Minimum years of experience

• At least 8-10 years Cloud architecture and reporting technology experience
• Extensive experience in implementing and monitoring solutions
• Experience in testing (manual or automated testing)
• Web and digital project experience advantageous
• Agile working experience advantageous

Minimum qualification required

• Relevant IT / Business Degree
