POSITION INFO:
The Links Golf Course Maintenance department is now accepting applications for a Spray Technician – someone who can add his / her skills to the team and that takes great pride and pleasure in caring for our golf courses.
We consider the following as essential:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 10 or equivalent,
- Must have a valid driver’s license,
- Experience in operating mowing and spraying equipment,
- Must have gained at least 1 years of golf course maintenance experience,
- Must have good hand-eye coordination, be able to work with machinery and grass,
- An introductory course in the use of chemicals and a pest control officer qualification will be an added advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):
- Application of chemicals to greens, fairways, tees and other areas of the golf course,
- Mixing of chemicals and fertilizers,
- Keeping the chemicals store clean, neat and locked at all times,
- Maintaining a record of chemicals used,
- Controlling and ensuring cleanliness and safety of all spraying equipment.
Adverse working conditions:
- Must be prepared to work weekends & Public holidays,
- Must be prepared to work outside in inclement weather.
