Sr. Wherescape Data Warehouse Engineer-12 Months Contract

SUMMARY:
Develop high quality data warehouse solutions in Azure environment using Wherescape technology according to Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling techniques

POSITION INFO:

• Experience :

  • In-depth experience of developing solutions using Wherescape 3D and Wherescape RED

  • Experience of Data Vault and Dimensional modelling techniques

  • Experience of developing solutions in the cloud (Azure)

  • Experience of developing data warehouses and data marts

  • Experience working in a high availability data ops environment

  • At least 3-5 years in BI environment

• Operational Delivery :

  • Implement high quality, scalable and extendable BI solutions leveraging Wherescape technology in a SQL environment in Azure

  • Design and develop data models within the Wherescape technology applying Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling techniques

  • Participate in the development of workflow, coding, testing and deployment solutions

  • Implement unit testing for all assigned deliverables to ensure deployment success

    Deliver incremental business value per sprint

• Work from high level requirements through to detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment and administration

• Deliver iteratively throughout the sprint

• Conduct peer reviews within and across squads

• Profile and analyze data sets

• Participate in the data engineer Community of Practice

• Support squads to gain Wherescape knowledge and practical experience

• Technical Competencies :

• SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Reporting Services

• ESB

• Microsoft Frameworks (CSF, CCF, etc)

• Working knowledge of API-based services (e.g. REST, SOAP)

• Understanding of basic integration concepts

• Basic knowledge of the Agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, cloud computing, ITIL, COBIT
