Do ou have solid purchasing and stock control experience in the steel industry? Are you well organised, a good communicator and hardworking with good computer skills (Syspro advantageous)? I would like to hear from you.
Assist branches with stock transfer requests (SCTs) and queries.
Ensure all buying schedules are completed in good time, approved by management and distributed in good a manner and format to customers/suppliers.
Assist on all indent order levels as per stock movement in the branch.
Ensure stock levels of all items in your job function are kept at branch approved levels.
Notify management of all market related changes including price changes and any changes that can influence the Company.
Negotiate in a good manner with external parties on behalf of the company as and when required by management.
Ensure all purchase orders are planned and issued in detail, stipulating branch requirements.
Ensure maintenance of stock codes on the system.
Ensure correct pricing (Costing) and price maintenance of all related items under your function.
Ensure correct tracking of movements of all your products, including imports, goods at DC and internal movements.
Ensure all related products are kept in good order as required for the type of material.
Liaise in a good manner within the group departments: finance, creditors, debtors, product managers and sales.
Update all pricelists relating to products in the branch.
Assisting with the merchandising of the retail store.
Take part in stock counts as and when required by management
Ensure good housekeeping in your general working area and report any adverse problems.
Any ad-hoc job-related task as and when required by management.
