Stock Controller

Our agri client based in Kirkwood is looking for an experienced Stock Controller.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum: Matric / Grade 12 / Equivalent qualification.
• Computer literacy: good level of proficiency required: MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook.
• Language Skills: English and Afrikaans to a business level, spoken and written.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Packing Material and Stock Control.
• Knowledge of BRC standards.
• Experience with Syspro would be Advantageous.

Key performance areas will include:

• Placing timeous orders with suppliers of non-stock items and keeping track of deliveries.
• Monitoring and managing material flow from storeroom to production.
• Inventory management to ensure systems and actual stock is aligned at all times.
• Organizing and manage stock takes periodically and reporting on any discrepancies.
• Perform stock status changes accurately and timeously.
• Ensuring minimum stock losses.
• Maintaining minimum levels of non-stock items.
• Manage Bill of Material Specs.
• Managing housekeeping of storerooms.
• Manage protective clothing requirements to conform to BRC standards.
• Supervise staff; assist in induction; training and retraining of staff reporting to this position.
• Ensuring all products comply with specifications.

• Problem solving skills.
• Willingness to work overtime from time to time.
• Sound knowledge of HR Practices.
• Previous ISO 9000 experience an added advantage.
• Ability to manage a team of people and stock over two shifts.
