Stock Controller

Responsibilities:

Stock Management

• Arrange factory parts & materials in marked & color-coded bins
• Control signing out & signing back in of stock
• Receive stock
• Do spot checks on deliveries to customers
• Assist with cycle & quarterly stock counting

Quality Control

• Ensure quality standards are achieved as well as monitoring product standards
• Monitor quality of jobs and investigate quality issues where necessary and make recommendations to improve.
• Ensure quality checks are executed and documentation is in order

Administrative Duties

• Knowledge (within scope) of the Pastel Accounting system, implementing stock control
• Accountable for the store room ensuring correct markings on stock, correct placements, and correct dispatch
• Ensure that correct documentation is completed and assigned to the correct administrative person
• Regular communication of job schedules and participation in production/operations meetings with the relevant Managers
• Source best-priced quality items from suppliers for all relevant goods within their product range
• Place orders with suppliers

Financial Administration

• Ensure that filing is done regularly, accurately, and in a manner consistent with the standard filing process of the department for all financial documents
• Assist with the maintaining of inventory files during and before stock counts and cycle counts

Team Responsibilities

• Assist team members outside of your scope of duty if the need arises
• Take spares to the site when needed by installation teams

Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary Grade 12 + a Tertiary Production and Stock Management related Qualification
• Experience Minimum 2 years experience working on any accounting system
• Minimum 3 years’ working experience in the warehousing/logistics field
• Any Warehousing/Operations/Logistics Qualification
• Management Certificate (Advantageous)
• Technical Knowledge Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Pastel Accounting)
• Knowledge of Company Health & Safety Policies & Procedures
• Valid Forklift License
