SUMMARY:
Our client based in Rustenburg, North West is seeking an on the ball Accountant that can excel in a fast-paced retail environment and work well under pressure. The successful candidate should have completed their SAIPA Articles. He/she should have strong attention to detail and be able to think on his/her feet.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification in Accounting/Financial Management/Auditing.
- Completed SAIPA Articles.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting.
- Auditing exposure.
- Previous experience working with Pastel, Sage Evolution, Arch and Microsoft Office would be advantageous.
- Experience in a Retail/FMCG environment would be advantageous.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Customer and Supplier Reconciliations for and between 3 entities.
- Participate in key decisions for the entities.
- Maintain relations with suppliers, clients and management team.
- Oversee transaction processing systems.
- Oversee the reporting of financial information.
- Manage and monitor the debtors ageing process and ensure that the necessary action is put in place to solve issues.
- Compile, review and approve monthly management accounts, and year end reporting packs.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and tax (including Income Tax, VAT, PAYE).
- Report financial results to the Regional Financial Manager.
- Manage and oversee the daily accounting administration and queries.
- Oversee cash management, cash flow forecasting and capital expenditure.
- Review and assist with customers financial queries.
- Handle the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Responsible for Financial reporting for Management and/or board meetings.
