POSITION INFO:
The Opportunity This role lets you use your hospitality experience to lead an energetic café team. You will receive strong operational support while managing daily front and back of house activities. Your leadership will ensure smooth store operations and deliver fantastic experiences to every guest. Job Description Guide daily floor service, barista coffee counters, and kitchen prep lines smoothly. Ensure top-quality coffee drinks, meal presentation, and fast kitchen ticket times. Order store stock, count weekly inventory, and keep waste levels low. Complete daily point-of-sale cash-ups and report store sales figures accurately. Roster, train, and support floor staff, baristas, and kitchen team members. Welcome customers warmly and resolve any service queries quickly and politely. Keep dining areas and food prep zones clean, safe, and fully compliant. What You Need to Apply Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or an equivalent qualification. Valid South African driver's license with reliable personal transport. 3 to 5 years of management experience in busy cafés, bistros, or restaurants. Solid understanding of both front-of-house service and kitchen food preparation. Practical familiarity with espresso machines, coffee service, and POS cash-up systems. Proven skills in managing team shift schedules, stock control, and daily budgets. A positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn, and great teamwork skills.
