Storeman - Boksburg (Building Materials)

SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Admin Controller, the incumbent’s primary purpose is to ensure the efficient and organized management of inventory within the branch, encompassing receiving, storing, and dispatching goods while maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth operations.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements: ▪ Grade 12 with relevant qualification in General Office Administration/Data Capturing/logistics/supply chain management ▪ Computer Literacy ▪ 2 year work experience in a store/warehouse environment ▪ Valid Driver’s License ▪ Willingness to learn ▪ Willingness to work overtime and weekends as and when required ▪ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in both English and Afrikaans ▪ Experience in a consumer / retail environment in the building supply industry will be advantageous ▪ Computer Literacy is a must.
Physical and Environmental requirements: ▪ Incumbent must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions with exposure to the heat & dust elements.
Key performance areas (inclusive but not limited to): ▪ Execute all administrative functions accurately in an effective and efficient manner ▪ Process and capture data on SYSPRO ▪ Receipt, issue and dispatch of goods and products ▪ Inspect incoming deliveries (quantity and quality) and report damages, abnormalities and variances ▪ Execute stock inventory, accuracy levels and logistics (storage and distribution of goods) ▪ Assess stock supply and reorder status ▪ Maintain high level of discipline to accurately succeed in daily administrative tasks ▪ Counter sales as and when required ▪ Provide administrative support to Admin Controller as and when required.

Knowledge, skills and competencies: ▪ Knowledge of world-class wood manufacturing disciplines ▪ Working knowledge of inventory/stock control ▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Afrikaans) ▪ Numerical Skills ▪ Analytical, problem solving and organisational skills ▪ Excellent administrative and time management skills ▪ Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Work) ▪ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines ▪ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team ▪ Self-motivated, disciplined and enthusiastic with high levels of drive and energy ▪ Pro-active and dynamic ▪ Excellent attendance track record ▪ Systems driven ▪ Well organised ▪ Attention to detail ▪ Dependability ▪ Well presented.
