JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Storeman for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with 4+ years relevant stores management experience in engineering / industrial sector
Valid driver’s license as well as valid forklift license
Good English communication skills
Must have clear credit, criminal and contactable references
Computer literate

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Ensure stock items are correctly handled and binned
Ensure FIFO system is followed and improve efficiency in storage
Follow up orders progress
Report out of stock items and / or specials to be ordered
Liaise with sales regarding delivery dates / outstanding items
Draw stock of back orders
Clearing the picking slip printer regularly
Assist with daily customer services
Maintain high standard of discipline and urgency amongst staff
Machine repairs and dispatching to suppliers
Stock counts when required
Dispatching delivery vehicles timeously
Daily housekeeping and ensure PPE is worn

Salary: R16 000.00 per month CTC
