Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, organised, and hardworking
Storeman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of stock, receiving and issuing materials, and ensuring that the storeroom is maintained in a clean, safe, and organised manner.
A background in the
construction, mechanical, or engineering industry will be a distinct advantage.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and store incoming stock and materials. Issue materials, tools, equipment, and parts to staff as required. Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control. Conduct regular stock counts and stock reconciliations. Keep the storeroom clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards. Monitor stock levels and report low stock items. Assist with ordering and stock replenishment when required. Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded. Work closely with the workshop, projects, and procurement teams. Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Minimum of 2-5 years' experience as a Storeman or in a similar role. Experience in the construction, mechanical, or engineering industry will be advantageous. Good organisational and administrative skills. Basic computer literacy (MS Excel and inventory management systems). Valid South African driver's licence will be an advantage. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Reliable, honest, and dependable. Preferred Criteria Applicants who reside in or near Villieria, Pretoria , will be given preference. Knowledge of construction materials, mechanical parts, tools, and hardware is highly desirable. Personal Attributes Honest and trustworthy. Well organised and self-motivated. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
