KEY TASKS
- All inventory is packed as per correct bin allocation on SAGE with corresponding shelf labels.
- All inventory is packed away daily. Keep aisles clear of obstruction. Inventory MUST be stacked securely to prevent any incidents or accidents.
- Store the returnable and non-returnable packaging in a neat and orderly manner. Any damaged returnable and any non-returnable packaging must be disposed of as per company guidelines.
- Perform rotational raw material counts and present to the Procurement Manager timeously.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of inventory levels.
- Understand the supplier receiving calender to ensure that returnable packaging is made ready for collection and that the necessary space is sufficient to receive all supplier deliveries.
- Ensure finished goods shelf labels are accurate and in place.
- Inspect and ensure that damaged finished goods are removed from the finished goods stores and that all damages are reworked in accordance with ISO processes.
- Inspect and ensure that broken finished goods packs are made complete and are ready for sale.
- Perform accurate finished goods daily rotational counts to be presented to the Inventory Chain Manager on time to be used for production planning purposes.
- Report any concerns re stock shortages or packing non-conformances to the Inventory Chain Manager.
- Perform inventory stores housekeeping daily functions.
- Take steps that are necessary to ensure that finished goods are clean and ready for picking by the logistics team.
- Align daily activities to the fulfilment of all relevant ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Storemen and other staff members that interact with the stores.
- Maintain a good attendance record to ensure that there is no interruption to production or services to our customers.
- Perform any other adhoc functions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KEY SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role specifically with warehousing experience

- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, procurement processes, and supply chain dynamics.
- A high school matric qualification
- Ability to count accurately
- A good understanding of the importance of this role and the consistent accuracy required
- Good housekeeping principles
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
