Structural Engineer

Well-established Consulting Engineering company seeks to employ a Structural Engineer at their offices in Secunda.

For the position you would be required to have:

• B. Eng/ B. Sc in Civil Engineering
• Around 6 years' experience in engineering and design of concrete and steel structures
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN DESIGN OF REINFORCED CONCRETE AND STRUCTURAL STEEL STRUCTURES
• Software: Bentley Microstation, AutoCAD, Prokon, Revit

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Defining and understanding specific project scope and deliverables, and manage the submission of competitive proposals
• Functioning as part of a project team, liaise with other professional team members, other engineering disciplines and contractors
• Coordination and management of structural engineering design team
• Planning and management of the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs and quality
• Prepare contract administration documentation based on NEC3/ NEC4
• Detailed structural analysis and design for both reinforced concrete and structural steel type structures
• Review, update and modification of drawings
• Visual inspections and integrity assessments of existing civil and structural components of industrial plants
• Technical support during construction
