The Superintendent Procurement will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services to be source and acquired timeously according to specification and at optimum cost to the company and ensuring that company ethics, policies and procedures are adhered to. He/she will be managing a Sourcing team that administers and manages transactional purchases which includes and not limited to On site / off site repairs, Capital and Operational Projects
Key responsibilities will include:
• Mapping commodity strategy in line with the transactional purchases of goods and services.
• Facilitating tender process, reviewing Scope of Work, issue tenders, lead the Cross Functional Evaluation Team, negotiations, adjudication & Award up to contract signing on Projects.
• Ensuring that all contract variations (extensions/price increase/termination) are properly authorized and are in line with the legal framework.
• Management of the Vendors by ensuring that Supplier Compliance certificates exist and are up to date on the vendor management system before and during contract tenure (e.g., SARS Certificates, COID etc.).
• Tender Management and professional support on receiving of tenders on the central system or tender box.
• Representing the Procurement Department at the Transformation Committee Forum by preparing reports and presenting procurement spend and local opportunities etc.
• Preparing reports for B-BBEE verification process and Mining Charter.
• Representing the Procurement Department at the Community Forum by presenting
business opportunities, local spend and addressing any local procurement concerns.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement Management or Supply Chain Management
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Procurement environment preferably within a Mining Industry and Project Management.
• ERP system preferably SAP Materials Management Module.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Procurement practices, supply chain management and contract management.
• Driver’s license
