SUMMARY:
Overall Responsibility: Generates a realistic packaging, brewing and reverse logistics plan taking into account all relevant constraints and variability to ensure sufficient stock in the supply grid to meet customer requirements.
Main responsibilities
Use Planning software to compile constraints based production & Reverse logistics plans that can be executed realistically. Maintain system master data to ensure plans generated is accurate. Update inventory policies taking into account supply chain variability on a routine basis to ensure the business has sufficient stock to meet customer requirements whilst reducing obsolescence risk and supporting cashflow.
Understand production variability to communicate realistic production plans to senior stakeholders.
Setting up and running monthly Demand Reviews in the S&OP routines
Attending and contributing to weekly S&OE sessions to support S&OP objectives discussing production & Reverse Logistics KPIs and creating transparency on production challenges and solutions to circumvent.
Ensure stock builds for maintenance and seasonal requirements are planned for within capacity.
Communicating a finalised plan timely to the business and downstream stakeholders.
Set up and run a Cost Optimisation Network Allocation model to establish what would be the most cost efficient Brewery to support, managing COGS and ensuring stock remains within policy.
Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders - Logistics, Production, Demand, Raw materials and Maintenance Teams.
Reports RTI and DIT KPIs compiling relevant actions with the Logistics and commercial teams to improve.
Supports improved returns through compiling initiatives that incentivise internal stakeholders/customers (supporting with a view on a relevant deposit price).
Creates a tactical (monthly) and strategic (Yearly) view on reverse logistics material requirements.
Compiles and manages an injection budget, placing purchase orders with all reverse logistics suppliers to support the business objectives.
Manages the relationship with reverse-logistics suppliers to support business objectives.
Requirements of the Role
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain management, or a related field Experience in working with carries or logistics is a plus
Preferred Skills/Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software is a plus.
Knowledge of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.
Attention to detail and ability to work with complex data. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet production deadlines.
Ability to adapt to changing production and handle multiple priorities.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of returnable packaging management and logistics
Proficiency in using spreadsheet and data analysis tools.
