SUMMARY:
Are you a detail-driven & analytical administrator with minimum two years experience in supply chain, warehousing & logistics?

Our client in Westlake, southern suburbs, a high end technology importer, have this vital role open for your hands-on administration skills for controlling distribution of their stock throughout South Africa.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

Deadline driven skills with strong attention to detail and organisation ability
Able to problem solve and think on your feet
Confident personality - good with communication on all levels
Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
Eagerness to learn and develop within the logistics industry
Analytical and problem-solving mindset
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Professional outlook
Advantageous if you are currently completing or recently completed a Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field

DUTIES

Coordinate and track international inbound shipments
Complete freight forwarder reports and perform freight cost and profit analyses
Coordinate any tender processes required
For inbound and outbound shipments conduct regular cost comparisons
Manage the factory shipping schedules
Ensure shipments arrive as scheduled
Receive stock, monitor waybills, and maintain accurate shipment records
Coordinate the annual freight tender process
Manage and organise supply chain documentation efficiently
Manage customs clearance processes
Escalate issues where necessary
Professionally communicate with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders
Ordering of consumable requirements
Dealing with outsourced warehouse and courier partners
Manage receipting, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods
Checking that stock received is unpacked, and relabeled correctly
Maintain the store area & record and control all stock movements leaving the warehouse
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Participate actively in business improvement projects and initiatives and identify areas for cost reductions

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
