SUMMARY:
Our client in the Northern Cape is seeking a Supply Chain Performance Manager. This is a senior managerial role reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Mining sector experience
- An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor degree level or equivalent.
- A postgraduate qualification - Honours/ Master’s degree is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge and technical proficiency in the Supply Chain Value Chain, particularly in contract sourcing, purchasing, and category management.
- Demonstrated commitment to service excellence supported by substantial experience in the field.
- Expertise in integrating and analysing key factors that drive excellence in the Supply Chain domain.
- Strong acumen in commercial insights and adeptness in business planning.
- Proficient in fostering and managing robust supplier relationships.
- Experienced in performance evaluation and analytical reporting.
- Skilled in master data management and delivering insights on market intelligence.
POSITION INFO:
General responsibilities:
- Contribute to the Supply Chain strategic priorities, risks, critical tasks, and performance targets.
- Support the Head of Supply Chain with translating the Global Supply Chain strategy into a supply Chain strategy for the country with critical tasks and performance targets.
- Lead discussions to determine the right performance metrics, KPIs, and respective targets to monitor and ensure systems and processes are in place to enable this effectively.
- Responsible for effectively onboarding suppliers, working closely with category management and procurement teams.
- Ensure effective implementation of the Global Master data strategy and Standard across the region, including ongoing master data management and management of the coding service provider (for SA only) with responsibility for the accuracy of master data.
- Ensure query management support for end users and suppliers is implemented consistently.
- Responsible for reporting and analytics support for the country, ensuring integration into management routines.
- Responsible for the facilitation and effectiveness of SC management routines, including tracking action items to ensure resolution. This role will also support global routines.
- Ensure risks are identified, managed, and mitigated effectively with appropriate risk management reports and plans.
- Provide effective supervision to the team, setting performance objectives and providing coaching and mentoring.
- Ensures the effective delivery of training and coaching support across the region, ensuring teams have access to training resources and training targets are achieved for teams and individuals.
