POSITION INFO:
We are seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to join a dynamic team, ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of enterprise network infrastructure. This role is critical in maintaining seamless business operations and supporting IT initiatives across the African region.

Requirements:

10+ years of hands-on experience in managing medium to large enterprise networks.
Cisco CCNP certification (NQF 6 or 7) and strong expertise in Cisco routers, firewalls, and APs.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Ability to work in an underground mining environment (medical and physical clearance required).

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and optimize network solutions for high performance and reliability.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents to minimize downtime.
Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other network hardware.
Perform scheduled upgrades and firmware updates on network equipment.
Evaluate network costs and recommend cost-effective improvements.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with business standards.
Provide technical support and collaborate with the Country IT Manager on regional IT projects.
