Systems Analyst

SUMMARY:
We require a Systems Analyst to work for a contract role in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

The role of the Systems Analyst encompasses many activities including (but not limited to):

- Developing functional and technical specifications to meet the business needs of clients. 

- Conducting system analyses for new and existing systems.

- Constructing programs, including coding, testing and debugging. 

- Conducting engagements with key role-players within the various departments to further understand their business processes, needs and challenges. 

- Conducting feasibility studies. 

- Preparing business cases and conducting an initial risk assessment.

- Conducting solution assessments and validation. 

- Conducting presentations of the deliverables for playback to the relevant departmental unit. 

- Conducting playback sessions with the relevant departmental unit to ensure that the information extracted from the business documents and through the interview process are correct.

Minimum Requirements: 

- One or more tertiary qualification(s) issued by a registered tertiary institution that is/are relevant to the role of the Systems Analyst. 

- One or more industry accredited course credential(s) that is/are relevant to the role of the Systems Analyst (including, for example, industry accredited course credentials  in programming).

- A minimum of 3 (three) years'' experience in a Systems Analyst or equivalent role working or consulting on tasks or projects involving the following:

1) Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) 

2) Systems analyses and documentation
