SUMMARY:

Electronic or Computer Engineer required for a test engineer position at a leader in the field of RF Modems - International Clients only. Responsible for testing of software, hardware and communication protocols. Testing on a variety of different platforms including Windows, Linux as well as embedded operating systems.

POSITION INFO:
Position: Electronic TEST Engineer: Product validation

Company who develops, manufacture, and exports a variety of Products in new technology for RF and RF related communication field. International Client base within a variety of international clients in various continents

Pretoria

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Integration of products and systems
Develop test documentation comprising of manual and automated tests
Testing of software and hardware components both individually and within the system
Writing of test platform software in C++
Work with the development team to achieve product acceptance
Product documentation
Testing and validation activities
Automated test software improvement
Evaluate and testing of embedded DSP code
Analysis of requirements and testing solutions
Debugging of PC and embedded software systems

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

BEng Electronic Engineering / BEng Computer Engineering
0-5 years’ testing and / or software development experience in a professional capacity
Experience working with software in C++ and or C in a Windows-based environment (Even if it was University-related projects)
Good knowledge of OOP software design and programming
Basic knowledge of using a Linux-based environment for (C++) development
Experience testing embedded applications
Experience in testing software for multi-platform and OS portability
