Systems Engineer UAV's

SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and optimisation of complex unmanned aircraft systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge UAV solutions for defence, commercial, and industrial applications.

POSITION INFO:

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and optimisation of complex unmanned aircraft systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge UAV solutions for defence, commercial, and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system-level design, architecture definition, and requirements development for UAV platforms
• Integrate avionics, propulsion, communications, sensors, and payload subsystems
• Conduct system modelling, performance analysis, and risk assessments
• Oversee hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), ground testing, and flight test campaigns
• Support certification, documentation, and compliance activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues throughout the product lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, electrical, and flight operations teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience working with UAV systems or other aerospace platforms
• Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies (e.g., MBSE, V-Model)
• Experience with integration of avionics, sensors, RF systems, autopilots, and communication links
• Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, DOORS, or SysML
• Knowledge of airworthiness standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD, or relevant civil UAV regulations)
