Through a combination of technical expertise, innovation, and industry-leading processes, they deliver specialised tax recovery solutions across multiple jurisdictions.

As a Tax Technical Research Specialist, you will join a highly specialised international tax team, focusing on the interpretation and application of tax treaties, legislative developments, and complex withholding tax regulations. This role offers a unique opportunity for a Newly Qualified CA(SA) looking to transition into a technical and advisory-focused tax career with significant international exposure.

You will work closely with various internal stakeholders and external advisors, contributing to research initiatives, process improvements, market expansion projects, and client-facing technical support

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth research on international tax treaties, domestic tax legislation, and EU directives relating to withholding tax recovery. Monitor legislative developments, tax authority updates, and relevant case law impacting withholding tax claims. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance technical methodologies and improve operational efficiencies. Assist with identifying opportunities for new reclaim jurisdictions and service offerings. Support the preparation of technical claim documentation and legal argumentation. Review complex claim submissions to ensure compliance and accuracy. Provide technical guidance to clients regarding withholding tax recovery strategies. Assist with drafting responses to tax authority queries and technical correspondence. Contribute to technical training, presentations, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Support the development of tax technical content and thought leadership publications. Job Experience and Skills Required: Newly Qualified CA(SA). Strong academic record. Demonstrated interest in Tax, International Tax, or Technical Research. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to interpret complex legislation and technical documentation. High levels of attention to detail and intellectual curiosity. Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills. Advanced research capabilities and a proactive approach to learning Apply now!
