POSITION INFO:

TECHNICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – 12 MONTH CONTRACT UITENHAGE

(Preference will be given to applicants who reside in Uitenhage or Port Elizabeth)

REQUIREMENTS /QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric
• Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer qualifications
• Project Management experience
• Experience within in the automotive/automation industry

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• In-depth knowledge of production processes, layouts and facilities.
• Excellent insight in total company Engineering, planning, manufacturing systems and pre-calculated costing practices.
• Have strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Must have good analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving.
• Must be assertive and have facilitation skills.
• Must have ability to negotiate and communicate at all levels.
• Be extremely motivated, flexible and able to perform in stressful environments.
• Working knowledge of Technical German Language.
• Must be willing to travel internationally at short notice.

JOB DISCRIPTION/ RESPONSIILITIES:

• Formulating and compiling detailed product specifications.
• Keeping project on budget.
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the engineering projects.
• Problem Identification and resolution.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Manage project issues, risks and actions.
• Manage project changes to achieve project outputs.
• Project evaluations and assessments of results.
