Employer Description Our client is a Meat Processing company Job Description Our client has an opportunity for a senior person to join their team in the capacity of a Procurement Manager for Livestock. The successful Incumbent will be responsible for the following Develop and implement a strong procurement strategy and goal setting for all field personnel Ensure all farmers know and understand the Livestock needs and buy into the supply strategy Responsible for the roll out of strategic procurement actions farmers, Calendar farmer, animal feed manufacturers and animal medicine companies to share and support the client strategies Maintain open and good relationships with identified stakeholders in the red meat value chain in all areas Purchase Price Management Full responsibility for total procurement needs including slaughter ready lamb and beef; weaner lamb and beef; protocol sourcing; informal markets Managing the weekly slaughter and procurement schedule for abattoirs Qualifications Matric Degree\/Diploma in Agriculture\/Farming Skills 3 - 5 year experience of Livestock Procurement Agricultural Experience is essential Knowledge and awareness of trends in the red meat industry Detail focused Planning and Prioritizing Financial Awareness Benefits Performance Bonus Death and disability benefit
