Our client is seeking a Tailings Engineer to join their growing team and play a critical role in delivering innovative and responsible tailings and mine waste solutions to clients across the globe.

About the Role:
As a
Tailings Engineer, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of tailings management – from concept design and feasibility studies to detailed engineering, construction support, and closure planning. You’ll work closely with a team of skilled engineers and scientists, while also interacting directly with clients on complex, high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analysis of tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and mine waste management systems
- Perform geotechnical and hydrological assessments
- Prepare technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
- Conduct site investigations, inspections, and audits
- Liaise with clients to develop tailored, practical solutions
- Support permitting and regulatory compliance processes
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing
About You:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in tailings engineering, ideally within a consulting or mining environment
- Strong understanding of TSF design, dam safety, and regulatory frameworks
- Skilled in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, Slide, FLAC, PLAXIS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Willingness to travel for site visits as required
