Duties:
- Manage Tax related areas of Finance division
- Liaising with audit partners and audit staff with regards to tax issues and queries
- Ensuring that monthly VAT Returns are accurately prepared and submitted in a timely basis
- Ensuring compliance with tax laws
- Liaising with SARS to resolve SARS queries and disputes
- Ensuring the timely submission of Dividends Withholding Tax Returns and payments
- Ensuring the timely submission of Interest Withholding Tax Returns and payments
- Interpreting and applying theoretical knowledge to a practical business solution by utilising a sound knowledge of income tax and corporate law
- Preparing and/or reviewing income tax and deferred tax computations
- Identifying income tax issues arising and using various tools and techniques to provide suggestions on how to solve them.
- Drafting technically correct opinions and reports for review and reviewing tax opinions and advise to be provided to the by various business units
- Gathering information from different sources by using effective research tools
Education:
- Professional registration as a qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) with post articles experience within the commercial sector.
