Tax Compliance Officer

SUMMARY:
Tax Compliance Officer Our client, a well-established company based in the Southern part of Cape Town is looking for an analytical and dedicated Tax Compliance Officer.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom degree or tax qualification
• At least 3 years experience in an accounting firm
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 300 clients

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completion of Tax Schedules.
• Preparation of Income Statements.
• Statements of Assets and Liabilities.
• Reconciliation of Assets and Liabilities.
• CGT calculations and computations.
• Tax computations for completing individual IT12 returns.
• Checking and processing ITA34’s.
• Completion of IT14’s and IT12TR’s.
• Completion and submission of Tax Directive Applications with supporting documents.
• Preparation of IRP6 letters on Taxware and on e-filing.
• Tax Clearance Applications in respect of Good Standing, Tender or Foreign Investment.
• Completion and submission of Income tax registration for individuals, companies, close corporations, and trusts.
• Attendance to queries which need resolving at/ with SARS.
• Facilitation of payments to SARS via e-filing & where clients issue cheques to be deposited.
• Completion and submission of Dividend withholding tax forms being DWT01/ DWT02 on e-filing and easyfile.
• Resolution of income tax, VAT and PAYE queries and disputes with SARS on behalf of clients.

Additional Information:

• Company’s operating hours: 8:00-16:30.
• Occasional driving to SARS and clients.
• The successful candidate must have their own reliable vechile.
