Tax Compliance Officer - Wynberg, Cape Town - R20,000 - R27,000 Cost to Company (CTC) per month Manage an annual portfolio of approximately 300 clients in a full-time, back-office tax compliance role . About Our Client Our client operates a tax or accounting practice environment . The firm handles an even split of tax profiles across Individuals, Trusts, Corporate Entities, and NPOs, ranging from simple to complex structures . The Role: Tax Compliance Officer The primary purpose of this role is back-office execution focused on the accurate preparation, timeous submission, and thorough SARS query management for a portfolio of roughly 300 clients . It exists to ensure strict compliance with statutory submission deadlines and to manage tax affairs across simple and complex tax profiles . Key focus areas include tax calculations, SARS administration, complex reconciliations, supporting documentation collation, and financial management calculations . Key Responsibilities Possess 3-5 years of proven tax compliance experience, ideally within a tax or accounting practice environment . Prepare and submit Income Tax (IT12, IT12TR, IT14, NPO), Provisional Tax, Dividend Withholding Tax returns, and Donation declarations . Handle SARS registrations and deregistrations for Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE, manage eFiling profiles, and resolve general SARS queries, verifications, and audit requests . Draft statements of assets and liabilities, capital reconciliations, and complex tax computations for high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities . Collate all supporting documentation to minimize SARS queries, secure client signatures, and ensure all statutory submission deadlines are strictly met . Calculate third-period and additional top-up tax payments when required . About You 3-5 years of proven tax compliance experience, ideally within a tax or accounting practice environment (prior SARS background is acceptable if recent experience is in private practice) . Undergraduate Diploma in Taxation or an equivalent qualification in Accounting\/Finance . In-depth working knowledge of South African Income Tax laws and SARS compliance processes across Individuals, Trusts, Corporate Entities, and NPOs . Proficiency in MS Office Suite and specialized Tax Management Software . High numerical accuracy and attention to detail . Exceptional time management, organizational, and deadline-tracking skills . Strong written and verbal communication skills . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities . Experience with Konsise is a distinct advantage .
