SUMMARY:
A leading Financial Services firm is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Tax Technical Specialist to join their Johannesburg team.

POSITION INFO:
The company is known for its technical excellence and innovative approach in navigating complex international tax landscapes. They are looking for an individual who thrives in a collaborative, research-driven environment, and has a strong command of international tax treaties, tax law, and tax regulatory frameworks.

Duties:

Conduct research on international tax laws and treaties relevant to cross-border investment income.
Stay up to date with global tax developments and apply updates to internal processes.
Work with internal teams and external advisors to support the technical aspects of tax reclaims.
Assist with the preparation and review of documentation to support tax claims.
Identify process improvements and contribute to new service initiatives.
Support clients with technical guidance related to withholding tax recovery.
Assist with handling technical tax authority queries and correspondence.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across the business.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

CA(SA) accreditation is essential.
Master's in Taxation is advantageous.
Newly qualified Chartered Accountant.
