JOB DESCRIPTION:

Oversee month end closure in line with financial deadlines
Manage and improve speed of monthly and quarterly close by automating business processes
Prepare weekly and monthly reports as relates to the financial accounting division
Manage and document finance processes
Year-end closure and audit file preparation
Achieve organizational standards on annual internal and external audits
Group Annual Financial Statement preparation in terms of IFRS
Assist with special projects, cost control initiatives and monitoring of company performance
Integration of new acquisitions and joint ventures
Ensure that general ledger transactions are recorded in ERP system in line with SA Income Tax Act and VAT Act requirements
Prepare group Provisional Tax Computations and related schedules.
Prepare and maintain group tax forecast models to accurately predict and forecast tax liabilities of the group
Preparation and submission of monthly group VAT recons and returns
Manage the outputs of the accounts receivable functions
Manage the outputs of the Debt Collection team function
Design and prepare KPI reports measuring system efficiency and output
Maintain and continuously improve business processes related to systems

Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of South African Income Tax Act and
Strong IFRS knowledge
Property experience advantageous

Qualification:
BCOM + SAICA articles
Minimum 2 years post article experience
