Team Lead / Development Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Team Lead / Development Manager who is keen to join a small systems development team of senior software engineers, as well as Devops, QA and BI leads.

POSITION INFO:

Your role will be to lead the continuing build of the web-based ERP and manufacturing platform and websites and to provide overall technical leadership for the build-out of these systems. It’s an opportunity to work with a hand-picked team of smart, creative people who, with the benefit of time and space, are able to create the best possible solutions - in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and the relevant technical team lead in order to work on a number of different systems and processes that make their business run. These systems include: manufacturing execution systems (integrated with SCADA platforms), an intranet to manage the global distribution network (ordering, invoicing), a logistics system to manage deliveries globally via sea and air as well as a translation and artwork system to handle translating packaging artwork in 47 languages.

You will also be responsible for managing an out-sourced team that builds the mobile app which is used as the primary communication platform for the global distribution network.

Tech Stack:

• Ruby-on-Rails, AWS (including serverless technologies), and CI pipelines for everything.

Education:

• Successful candidates must have a relevant degree, 10 years of software development experience working with a broad range of software technologies, and a talent for solving complex problems with simple solutions.
