Team Leader (Dispatch)

SUMMARY:
Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in the manufacturing of Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services, and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Swellendam.

POSITION INFO:
Short Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Supervisor with completing his tasks and organizing team members during a shift.

Responsibilities:

• Draw the necessary soap from the Dispatch department.
• Ensure trucks are not overloaded and that the weigh papers are handed to the Stock Control Assistant.
• Ensure that the Seal Registers are signed by the Drivers.
• Ensure the correct completion of Filter Inspection Sheets.
• Motivate and time-manage the team for the loading of oilcake bulk trucks.
• Motivate and manage the team for all tasks associated with the Dispatch department.
• Conduct filter inspections and assist the Dispatch Supervisor with control measures.
• Ensure effective execution of all Dispatch Schedules as per shift schedules.
• Report any faulty equipment on the plant and any incidents that may occur.
• Ensure a smooth handover and shift change with team members.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the yard at all times.
• Ensure the emptying of dustbins is completed timeously.
• Ensure the loading of oil and oilcake is completed efficiently.

Key Competencies:

Education and Skills

• Minimum of a Grade 12 and/ or NQF Level 4
• Proficient in English and Afrikaans
• A valid Forklift Driver’s License
• Previous leadership experience would be an advantage
