Technical & Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced maintenance professional ready to take on a leadership role in a dynamic dairy manufacturing environment? We are seeking a skilled Maintenance professional to oversee and manage all maintenance activities at our facility.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and perform maintenance activities for all factory mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery.
• Conduct daily checks and tests on equipment, placing orders for parts as needed.
• Maintain factory buildings’ electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Oversee general repairs and installation activities.
• Supervise and provide on-the-job training to maintenance staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Maintain comprehensive audit trails of supplier communications.
• Monitor maintenance expenditures and control the maintenance budget.
• Conduct regular equipment stock takes.
• Keep machine manuals, plans, logbooks, and certificates up to date.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety policies and assist with health and safety inspections.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Artisan/Millwright (Trade Certificate essential)
• Diploma in Engineering (advantageous)
• At least 5 years’ experience servicing and maintaining dairy machines and equipment
• Minimum 3 years’ proven managerial experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Physically fit and healthy
