POSITION INFO:

Looking for a highly experienced Technical Business Development Manager:  NWEA – Industrial & Mining WITH MINIMUM 05 YEARS Experience in Direct Technical Sales & Marketing Management.  Required to Drive Profitable Growth of the Company''''''''s Products and Solutions in line with the accelerate strategy within the NWEA Region.  Extensive travelling is required within the NWEA Region.

 

BDM must have Strong Marketing experience and thorough Knowledge of NWEA Markets, with proven success in Solution Environment, Markets Development experience and Strategic /Tactical Planning and Execution expertise.  Exposure to Industry specific to Fuel, Mining, Oil/Gas & Engineering Industry is MANDATORY.

 

The Primary objective of this role is to Drive Profitable Growth of Company’s Products and Solutions in Line with the Accelerated Growth Strategy within the NWEA Region.  Responsible for securing New Revenue within the Company’s existing Portfolio of Clients as well as seeking out New Clients.  Focus on Hunting New Clients while ensuring Excellent Client Experience in collaboration with Account Teams to ensure smooth transition of Accounts into the Business.

 

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Ø Strategic Planning to ensure revenue growth.
  • Ø Achieve Set Revenue Growth.
  • Ø Deliver Outstanding Client Experience.
  • Ø Relationship Building & Team Work – work in collaboration with the Team, Developing Good Working Relationships.
  • Ø Communicating – work with Marketing/Communication Teams to develop Marketing Collateral to support Business Plan, Generate New Business & Raise Awareness of Company Products and Services.
  • Ø New Business & Revenue Generation.
  • Ø Key Accounts Management of existing Business Accounts.
  • Ø Operating Environment Awareness – understand how the Business Works
  • Ø Ensure Compliance with Company’s Values, Policies & Standards, and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements.

 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Profitable growth within the NWEA region will be achieved through:

 

Sales Strategy:

  • Ø Collaborating with commercial leaders to establish and execute on the sales strategy for the region.
  • Ø Working closely with the marketing team to understand macro and micro market dynamics, market size, segmentation, our share and competitive share.
  • Ø Develop specific sales plans to ensure growth both long and short-term.
  • Ø Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales targets and meeting growth objectives.

 

Funnel Management:

  • Ø Accelerating growth by proactively creating, managing and driving opportunities through the funnel.
  • Ø Engaging cross – functionally to contribute to a healthy funnel.

 

Value Selling and Pricing:

  • Ø Understanding target customers, their buying processes, and key motivations to help optimize our sales approach.
  • Ø Working with marketing to build and communicate unique value propositions.
  • Ø Understanding our solutions differentiation to effectively position and sell against competitive offerings.
  • Ø Understanding the value that our products create for customers and help shift the conversation from price to value, leveraging data.

 

Key Account Management:

  • Ø Driving growth of strategic accounts.

 

Customer Service:

  • Ø Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, regulators, market participants and business partners.
  • Ø Managing regional orders meticulously through strong collaboration with globally placed manufacturing facilities.
  • Ø Coordinating customer product training.
  • Ø Ensuring overall customer satisfaction throughout the buying journey, by coordinating the right level of support from marketing, engineering, operations, global manufacturing facilities, and after sales support.

 

Technical and Commercial Knowledge:

  • Ø Continuously expanding knowledge of products, services, and features within our portfolio by collaborating with marketing and engineering.
  • Ø Staying current with developments in the industrial & mining industries, both locally and globally, to be a great subject matter expert for customers and the business.
  • Ø Educating sales teams with presentations of strategies, seminars and regular meetings.

 

PERFORMANCE MEARSURES INDICATORS:

Core Growth:

  • Deliver Growth - 3 months 3+ y X of Sales Target.
  • Deliver Target Funnel Add Per Week.
  • Time Taken to grown opportunity from "opportunity" to order.

Quality:

  • Forecast Accuracy, Proposals Submitted and Customer Engagement.

SUMMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Engineering Degree or Business Degree with strong Technical Sales Experience.
  • At least 5 Years’ Experience in Direct Technical Sales & Business Development Management and Marketing experience.
  • Thorough Knowledge of the North West East Africa Market (NWEA).  Must have NWEA Technical Sales experience.
  • Market Development Experience.
  • Strategic/Tactical Planning & Execution.
  • Proven Success in Solution Environment.
  • Extensive experience in Industrial and Mining Industries.
