Qualifications / Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in relevant Engineering field
• Project management experience advantageous
• High level of computer literacy
• 5 years’ manufacturing experience
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and have knowledge of welding processes
• Knowledge and application of Quality Management Systems
• Knowledge of shop floor industrial relations and the ability to manage and control staff timekeeping and attendance

Key Performance Areas:

• Direct quality activities with a focus on quality, delivery, and a safe working environment
• Lead Quality team
• Gather, analyze and report on quality, equipment and information
• Responsible for monitoring and calibration of equipment and processes
• Manage and co-ordinate all internal quality projects
• Comply with organizational standards
• Develop, collate and record daily quality figures
• Promote ethical behaviour in a work situation.
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Conduct investigations and disciplinary actions when required to do so
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
