Technical Development Lead

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Sandton is seeking the expertise of a Technical Development Lead to lead and develop applications and software solutions that are bespoke, innovative and sustainable.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Minimum Requirements

• Degree in relevant Technology OR Science OR Engineering field of study
• Sc. Computer Science degree or equivalent
• In depth knowledge of:
• Relevant system/application development language
• Relevant development frameworks
• Coding for security best practice
• Agile/DevOps principles and applications
• Bespoke BU/FA knowledge
• Corporate and investment banking domain (preferred)
• Relevant banking regulations (preferred)
• Worked in an Agile/DevOps environment (preferred)

• Engage and partner with other BT teams i.e.: Markets, Banking, other Franchises and infrastructure
• Maintain iMap and CMDB updates and any other central governance applications

• Partner with BT and Business stakeholders to create integrated roadmaps to enable
• business requirements delivery
• Ensure alignment with business and BT strategic objectives
• Ensure technical solutions are stable and scalable to meet business needs
• Solution Design and Build
• Consolidate and prepare solution design documentation
• Apply standards and governance in such a way as to develop the best fit solution for business
• Coordinate and apply various coding efforts
• Collate data on coding progress achieved
• Address and develop solutions to problems and risks arising from coding efforts
• Define technical specifications standards for the domain and ensure team adherence
• Perform technical solution reviews
• Define and implement security standards and governance
• Ensure best in breed in technology and standards is applied
• Enterprise Architecture Design
• Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standard and design through collaboration with Solution, Technical and Data architects
• Ensure all technologies used are within the Enterprise architecture stack
• Delivery Management
• Troubleshoot and resolve all technical audit findings
• Ensure all risk are mitigated
• Perform code reviews and tracking of code/builds
• Define and avail all minimum process documentation
• Platform Health
• Ensure technical roadmap is maintained for application
• Maintain view of upgrade paths: hardware and software
• Maintain software versions and ensure they are kept current
• Plan for DR and maintain, ensure backups are available
• Maintain licensing and upgrades
