SUMMARY:
Our client, an incubator in the steel sector that specialises in the stainless-steel knowledge exchange, is currently looking for a Technical Development Officer (SMME) to join their dynamic team.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified boilermaker with relevant N3 or Technical Matric.
- Beneficial: Welder qualification.
- ±5 years working experience as a Boilermaker in a manufacturing environment.
- ±3 year working experience in Operations Management and/or project management, preferably in fabrication of steel.
- Beneficial: Knowledge of CAM/CAD/SOLIDWORKS design software.
- Beneficial: Knowledge and experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
- Beneficial: Experience as a MERSETA recognised assessor and/or moderator and/or facilitator.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all the aspects of the customers and clients’ relationships.
- Responsible for maintenance.
- Responsible for management and installation of all manufacturing assets, other resources, and budgets.
- Provide support to entrepreneurs towards growing their ventures into sustainable and successful businesses.
- Implement and enforce quality procedures and processes.
- Understand manufacturing drawings and customer requirements.
- Ability to produce good tolerances and finishes on various material types and hardness’s.
- Analyse statistical information and interpret data to produce reports
