Technical Lead Cloud Services

This role is a central point for evaluating, optimising and standardisation of managed Cloud services. It focuses on the enablement of the operational teams to effectively deliver on required service levels and the optimisation of the services on a proactive basis. Resolution of major incidents that are escalated from the operational teams and logging of vendor calls when required. Perform due diligences to ensure services are scoped correctly; risks are highlighted to the business and successfully transitioned to the operational teams. Our clients are becoming highly skilled; this role will close the knowledge gap between our Remote Managed Services teams and client teams. Cloud solutions require constant management with architectural updates and changes, security and cost management to name a few, this role will be accountable to set the standards that will be disseminated to the Remote Managed Services teams.

Perform advanced issue analysis and resolution

Address major incident escalations

Conduct service due diligences

Transition services to operational teams

Conduct technical assessments and participate in service improvements

Identify security risk and track until mitigated or resolved

Conduct evaluations on engineers and make growth and training recommendations

Create internal knowledge base articles and issue resolution scripts

Qualifications

Certifications (Minimum)

 AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals)

 AZ-104 (Azure Administrator)

 AZ-500 (Azure Security Technologies)

 AZ-300 (Azure Solutions Architect – Part 1)

 AZ-301 (Azure Solutions Architect – Part2)

Additional Certifications (Advantageous)

 AZ-203 (Developing Solutions) *Only required if Service Bus, API, Logic Apps, Functions, Event Hub/Grid are required.

 AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer)

 MCSE Core Infrastructure (Retires January 2021)

 MCSE Productivity (Retires January 2021)

 CompTIA Network+

 Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE

 Prince 2, PMP, SCRUM Master, AGILE (Advantageous)

Experience Required

 10+ years’ experience working in the IT industry. Preferably in consulting as current function.

 .NET C#, PowerShell, JSON, XML beneficial.

 Experience with networking technologies (e.g. Cisco)

 Experience with database services and technologies

 Experience with data centre technologies (e.g. VMware)

 Experience with backup technologies (e.g. Veeam)

 Experience with storage systems (SAN)

 Experience using the Azure Pricing Calculator

Practical Skills Required

Good understanding of Azure Infrastructure services and their limitations

 Experience in configuring & monitoring different attributes and handling scale up and scale down scenarios for the application in Azure
