SUMMARY:
Technical Manager from FMCG Cosmetic Manufacturing required to work on East Rand

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements 
Relevant Tertiary Qualification 
10 years fmcg cosmetic manufacturing experience with lab to plant scale Development experience 

Role Purpose 
To perform all tasks related to the implementation and management of the company’s manufacturing systems, with a focus on troubleshooting technical issues. Responsible for making key decisions for technical issues after considering all aspects from cost to quality.

Duties
Resolve product and manufacturing technical issues and assist with plant issues, modifications and new designs.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical non-compliances and liaise with the sales department regarding customer complaints

Lead the R&D and QC departments, including HR and line management aspects

Develop and coach the R&D, QC, and laboratory teams to ensure they are fully trained and able to perform their duties

Monitor quality standards and support other departments with quality related problems

Provide guidance to purchasing

Compliance oversight

Sign off communications to customers from the QC department (Specs, COA’s, MSDS’s, complaint reports, etc)

Oversee the development and implementation of management systems through all steps of the process including review and approval of documentation and SAP updates/modifications.

R&D: Develop new and optimise/modify existing products: Provide input into, review and sign off new product proposals, validate and verify product formulations.

Provide technical input in customer interactions
