POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:
- Must be a registered CA(SA)
- 1 year post-articles experience in a technical environment
- Knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SME is essential
- Knowledge of ISQM 1 and 2 and the IRBA Code
- Expert knowledge of the ISAs
- Be able to present technical material at a senior level
- Knowledge working on MS Office, CaseWare and Pastel
- GreatSoft experience would be an advantage
- Own transport and a valid driver's licence
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to technical queries on accounting, auditing and ethics
- Manage internal consultations on technical matters
- Oversee and support the audit pre-issuance review process
- Provide technical assistance on standards and regulatory queries
- Review financial statements (IFRS & IFRS for SMEs)
- Deliver technical presentations to staff and partners
- Prepare accounting opinions and practical guidance
- Develop and update technical training and audit methodology
- Design policies ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Support Root Cause Analyses and remedial actions
- Monitor local and international developments in the profession
- Oversee audit software developments and share best practices
- Draft and submit technical commentaries to regulators
