SUMMARY:
Our client is an exploration drilling company operating on various sites nationally and internationally. They currently require a Technical Manager in Mokopane.
POSITION INFO:
Qualifications / Experience
Engineering degree Non-negotiable (Mechanical/Electrical/Mining)
Mining Experience minimum five years management experience required
Sound understanding and previous exposure to mining legal standards and maintenance framework of assets
Able to work pay weekend structure (on site – full time – Mon – Sat) – off five days at month end
Duties
Effective risk assessment management
Assist with the closing of corrective actions on Enablon/Isometrix
Ensure Project equipment is maintained according to company SOP with proper planning and reporting
Fuel balance, burn rates reporting and monitoring
Tracking and reporting of vehicles weekly
Prepare management review report monthly
Inspection of the workplace and machinery weekly
Facilitate and report all incidents/accidents to SHEQ Manager
Ensure effective time management for Production and Engineering Department
Ensure effective planning, organizing and prioritizing of all activities as well as planned engineering work execution
Maintain backlog register and plan work every week to be carried out
Critical spares monitoring, repairs management and procurement.
Daily asset performance capturing and reporting
Ensure all internal appointments are done for the employees under your area of responsibility
Review accident reports/recommend preventative action
Effective near miss management and analysis
Effective VFL management and analysis
Ensure compliance with system & project specifications
Adhere and audit legal requirements
Effective document and data control management
Ensure client/service orientation is maintained
Ensure Legal compliance
Knowledge sharing
Maintain a professional relationship with workforce on site
Identify training needs on site
Maintain a professional and disciplined approach to your work and ensure that your section/shift you are appointed to, adhere to all requirements
Effective time management
Maintain high levels of integrity, assertiveness, commitment, and decisiveness
